First, congratulations! I'm only sorry that I didn't have time to attend the ceremony. I do hope that we can get together for dinner sometime - our place or yours, though the latter would be a fine chance to meet Roderick. I've heard plenty about him.

Speaking of which: I received your inquiry, and it's probably for the best if we speak in person about this so I can go over the details. The process isn't all that complicated and I don't see any real complications, but there is one thing to keep in mind. Due to Roderick's age, you'll need his consent as well as his mother's. My advice (and this is as a friend, not an attorney) is to let this breathe for a while. Once Eleanor and Roderick are settled in, then you can discuss it with them and, after that, with me.

Subj: Thanks

Thanks again for the great time yesterday. It's been so long since I've really been out! I know I did cut things a little short, but things have been very rough on Roderick and I don't think it's smart to leave him by himself for too long. He doesn't know about you yet, by the way (I don't think - the boy just knows everything!).

My schedule is all tied up in knots with Christmas coming up, but I'm free after that - hint, hint.
